Creighton University

Founded in Omaha in 1878, Creighton University is one of 27 Jesuit colleges and universities in the U.S., educating more than 8,500 undergraduate and graduate students across nine schools and colleges. With campuses in Omaha and Phoenix, Creighton is one of the largest Catholic health professions educators in the country and has maintained a presence in the Dominican Republic for more than 50 years.

Creighton students come from 51 U.S. states and territories and 26 countries. Approximately 80% of undergraduates arrive from outside Nebraska, yet nearly half of these students remain in-state after graduation, a testament to the strong connections they make and the career opportunities in Omaha.

At Creighton, students are guided by faculty who mentor and challenge them. Students gain the knowledge and confidence to succeed thanks to small class sizes, a 10:1 student-faculty ratio and hands-on experiences such as research, practicums, internships, service-learning and more.

A vibrant campus culture, more than 200 student organizations and BIG EAST Division I athletics provide a dynamic college experience. Creighton’s Jesuit values and commitment to service and justice form changemakers who are ready to make a difference after graduation.

Ranked in the top third of National Universities by U.S. News & World Report and named a 2025 “Best Value College” by The Princeton Review, Creighton is one of the top two Catholic universities for producing Goldwater Scholars, one of the nation’s most distinguished academic awards for young scientists. Within six months of graduation, 98% of undergraduates are employed, pursuing advanced degrees or participating in service — including a 100% outcomes rate for first-generation students.
