The Tigers were led by the John D. Diesing Sr. Most Outstanding Player, Paul Skenes. The junior right-handed pitcher threw 15.2 innings with 21 strikeouts in two appearances.
A Historic Year: This year's MCWS showcased the unrelenting passion of college baseball fans, attracting a staggering 392,946 spectators throughout the 16 sessions. This is the highest number of fans in a single year. The previous milestone, set during last year's MCWS, stood at 366,105 fans. This remarkable surge in attendance exemplifies the growing popularity and significance of the NCAA Men's College World Series among the Omaha community, sports enthusiasts and showcases the unwavering support of the passionate fanbases.
The average attendance per game reached new heights, reaching an impressive average of 24,559 fans. This figure surpassed the previous record set during last year's MCWS, which stood at an average of 24,407 fans per game. The extraordinary turnout of fans demonstrates the devotion and enthusiasm that surrounds this premier college baseball event.
