CWS of Omaha, Inc., Internships
We provide annual internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates that offer those selected the opportunity to help gain experience in event management on a national level. The 2019 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® will be June 15-25/26, with the Opening Celebration Day being held on Friday, June 14.
CWS, Inc., the local organizing committee of the College World Series, is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1967. The mission of its all-volunteer Board of Directors is to enlist community support for the College World Series from business, government, civic organizations and individuals.
Spring Internship (1 position)
February 4 through July 12

College World Series of Omaha, Inc., offers one paid spring event management internship for the NCAA Men’s College World Series. This internship provides the opportunity to work behind the scenes at one of the NCAA’s largest championships. Assignments may include, but are not limited to, coordination of specific events and volunteers, general office duties, assisting with ticket and parking matters, creation and dissemination of materials and manuals. This position assists the CWS, Inc., staff both in the office and on-site during the event. This position also oversees those selected for the additional internships, assigning hours and daily responsibilities.
Other on-site assignments include working with the NCAA staff, as needed, before and during the event, assisting with the Fan Fest, Opening Ceremonies and Autograph Session. CWS, Inc., also hosts VIP Hospitality during the event.
The selected applicant will be paid based on hours worked, as commensurate with Nebraska minimum wage.
Summer Internship (1 position)
Early May through June 29
College World Series of Omaha, Inc., offers one summer internship for the 2018 Men’s College World Series beginning in May (or at the conclusion of the student’s academic year), running through an agreed upon time in July. This selected applicant will assist with pre-event coordination, work on-site at the event and assist with event follow-up and reports. Projects may include ordering products and services, preparing surveys for the participating coaches, coordinating the shipment of the Most Outstanding Player award, general office duties, and assisting the College World Series of Omaha, Inc., staff both in the office and on-site during the event. Other on-site assignments include working with the NCAA office, the Fan Fest, the VIP Hospitality areas, etc. This internship also would include assisting with the Opening Ceremonies, Autograph Session and Team BBQ.
The selected applicant will be paid based on hours worked, as commensurate with minimum wage. Though room and board are not offered as part of the position, the CWS, Inc., staff will work with the selected applicant to find housing if necessary.
Event Internship (4 positions)
June 11 through 25/26

These selected applicants are specifically hired to assist just prior to and during the College World Series. Event interns assist with pre-event assembly, as well as day-to-day event responsibilities on-site at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The dates for this internship begin on Monday, June 12 and run through the CWS, ending on either Tuesday, June 26 or Wednesday, June 27.
These are non-paid volunteer positions.
