CWS of Omaha, Inc., Internships

We provide annual internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates that offer those selected the opportunity to help gain experience in event management on a national level. The 2021 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® will be June 19-29/30, with the Opening Celebration Day being held on Friday, June 18.

CWS, Inc., the local organizing committee of the College World Series, is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1967. The mission of its all-volunteer Board of Directors is to enlist community support for the College World Series from business, government, civic organizations and individuals.


Videographer/Digital Media Content Internship

May – July 2021

College World Series of Omaha, Inc. (CWS, Inc.) is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a Videographer/Digital Media Content Internship. This is a new internship opportunity for college students and recent graduates to help gain working experience in this field. The 2021 NCAA® Men’s College World Series® will be June 19-29/30, with the Opening Celebration Day being held on Friday, June 18 (please note, dates are subject to change).


Event Internship

*Quantity of positions are to be determined due to potential Covid-19 restrictions.

June 14 – June 29/30
Application Period: Closed (2021 positions filled)

Next available application date: January 2022 (for 2022 CWS)

These selected applicants are specifically hired to assist just prior to and during the College World Series. Event interns assist with pre-event assembly, as well as day-to-day event responsibilities on-site at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The dates for this internship begin on Monday, June 14 and run through the CWS, ending on either Tuesday, June 29 or Wednesday, June 30.

These are non-paid volunteer positions.


Opening Celebration Day Internship

June 18 ONLY
Application Period: CLOSED for 2021

Next available application date: January 2022 (for 2022 CWS)

These selected applicants are specifically hired to assist during the Opening Celebration Day on June 18th ONLY. Interns will assist with all activities that range from autograph sessions, team practices, team dinner and activities as well as parade and concert.

These are non-paid volunteer positions.


Spring Internship (1 position)

January through June (Conclusion of the CWS)

College World Series of Omaha, Inc., offers one paid spring event management internship for the NCAA Men’s College World Series. This internship provides the opportunity to work behind the scenes at one of the NCAA’s largest championships. Assignments may include, but are not limited to, coordination of specific events and volunteers, general office duties, assisting with ticket and parking matters, creation and dissemination of materials and manuals. This position assists the CWS, Inc., staff both in the office and on-site during the event. This position also oversees those selected for the additional internships, assigning hours and daily responsibilities.

Other on-site assignments include working with the NCAA staff, as needed, before and during the event, assisting with the Fan Fest, Opening Ceremonies and Autograph Session. CWS, Inc., also hosts VIP Hospitality during the event.

The selected applicant will be paid based on hours worked, as commensurate with Nebraska minimum wage. This internship is usually for seniors or graduate students needing internship credit hours.

You will be required to relocate to Omaha, NE for the duration of the internship. (January-late June)
