NCAA Men’s College World Series to Host Special Community Recognition Games During 2019 Championship

The NCAA Men’s College World Series will offer special recognition games honoring youth, first responders and the military and include fun new activities like children’s base running, giveaways and special pricing at this year’s championship.

The 2019 NCAA Men’s College World Series runs June 14 through June 25-26. Recognition days and activities include the following:

• Monday, June 17, First Responders Day, Game 5, 1 p.m. CT
• Tuesday, June 18, Free CWS water bottle, Game 7, 1 p.m. CT
• Wednesday, June 19, Kids Day, children 12 and younger can run the bases after the game, Game 9, 6 p.m. CT
• Friday, June 21, commemorative Rawlings key chain giveaway, Game 11, 1 p.m. CT
• Monday, June 24, Military-Veterans Appreciation Day, CWS Finals Game 1, 6 p.m. CT

These activities are in addition to the free all-day Opening Celebration Day on Friday, June 14, featuring team practices, autograph sessions, a special performance by the Eli Young Band, CWS Fan Fest presented by Capital One, and a fireworks finale.

“The NCAA appreciates the incredible support college baseball fans and student-athletes receive every summer from the Omaha community,” said Anthony Holman, NCAA managing director for championships operations and playing rules. “We’re very excited for these new fan engagement activities that will give us more ways to connect with CWS fans, and we especially look forward to welcoming hundreds of first responders, veterans, and the next generation of fans with our youth events this summer.”
